What’s Involved?
We will test:
Frame size
Frame geometry
Handlebar width
Crank length
Saddle choice
Steerer length
These bike fits take place on my fitting jig. We start from the frame recommended for your size by the manufacturer, with an average length stem and with a saddle height and position in the middle. We then adjust the jig into the ideal riding position for you, to see if the frame works for you and with which components or if you need something different.
Pre built frame or Custom Frame?
When using a prebuilt frame, your rider position is mapped out on Bike CAD. Both Fairlight and Stayer use this program and files can be sent to them as part of the bike sizing process. The bike builder may recommend slight tweaks to the components, which they’ll discuss with you.
Bikes can be built from the frame up at London Bike Studio. A member of the team can build the bike on your behalf or you can come in and build the bike yourself, with expert mechanics at your side throughout. https://www.londonbikestudio.org/custombuild
If you are going to build your own frame with Stayer Cycles, we can provide Stayer with your ideal bike position, which they’ll then use to build a frame to your specifications.

Are you going to be training your way to a more aggressive road position? Is this going to be your bike for life and will need to accommodate changes as you age? We will discuss all of the above in an initial fit. I will then draw your position on to the frame geometry on Bike CAD, which I will share with your bike builder. You will then come in for a follow up session once you have the bike, for fine tweaks and adjustments.
